What’s the difference between FC transfers and FC processing?

ASKWhat’s the difference between FC transfers and FC processing?

I just shipped my inventory to a FC and almost immediately, my units went to FC transfers. I also noticed there’s FC processing in the details.
What’s the difference between them both?

Hey Melanie,
FC Transfers simply means your units are being re-distributed to other FCs across the country.

FC processing happens when some units are taken out for warehouse or other issues. Such as dimension measurement, non-compliance issues etc. FC processing can also refer to sorting when a customer places an order nowadays.

Since you just shipped your inventory, the FC transfers can take anywhere from 7-14 days before it is considered available. In the meantime, your customers can still place an order but they will see a “receive by X” date.
