Reza asked 2 years ago So everything is going good with my suplier and we already agreed on everything such as price and shipping costs so now i want the final sample so i can approve and start the production. The supplier is saying i can’t open the mold for your package and make the last sample till you deposit the down payment. What are some safe way to do this? Also what are some safe way to do the down payment deposit like Alibaba Trade assurance? Or PayPal?

If i do Alibaba trad assurance how much is the fee that Alibaba hold the money?
Sprice World Staff answered 2 years ago There are many different ways you can come upon an agreement with a supplier when the down payment will be placed, however I personally wouldn’t feel comfortable placing the down payment unless the supplier is willing to give you a golden sample. It’s extremely important for you to really see the quality of your final product before you give them a large sum of money.
Trade assurance on Alibaba is the most convenient and easiest method to use at the beginning.
Once you start working with the supplier on a monthly/quarter basis, then you can get into other payment methods like Wire transfer, TransferWise, etc.
Alibaba Trade Assurance fees are as follows as of June 2020.
- Credit Card: 2.95% of the order value
- Western Union: US$ 4.9-$45
- T/T (Telegraphic Transfer): US$30-$50
- Alibaba Pay Later: Free
